Carbon Reduction Plan

We are currently working towards ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System certification. we will be publishing a Carbon Reduction Plans focusing upon the recording and reporting of Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and introduce additional reporting against a subset of Scope 3 emissions.

Sustainable Packaging

here at G&N we were aware that our packaging was having a large impact on the environment. In 2020 we redesigned our Fitlegs AES packaging to remove single use plastics which resulted in a saving on 3.7 tons of plastic and 5.5 tons of paper – Equivalent to 14 tons CO2e G&N Laboratory have introduced a range of fully recycled clinical waste containers and are working to increase the recycled content of our full range of clinical waste and sharps containers.

Warehouse Operations

At G&N the emerging concept of circular economy is embedded into our workplace environment. Implementing a servicing option allows customers to have their G&N equipment serviced and repaired, which reduces electronic waste and saves our customer money.

A recent addition of a shredder into our warehouse has allowed us to stop purchasing plastic packaging materials as we reuse all our cardboard waste as recycled packaging material.
